The two things that I like about Glassfish vs Tomcat is the
administrative interface and the updater for Glassfish that makes
upgrading to new releases/fixes very easy. I am a casual user of Tomcat
and new to Glassfish so I don't proclaim to be a expert on either. I
have been primarily a Tomcat 5.x user and with Tomcat 7 out it could be
that Tomcat 7 has all the features that GF 3.1.1 has.
I am sure there are many comparisons of GF vs Tomcat out there on the
web. In this particular case, it wasn't superior function or
performance that drove me to GF. I have a client that uses GF and
although running it on Windows is fine, I have more horsepower and
memory on my i than on my Windows server, as well as IBM i being my
preferred server platform. So, being able to run GF on i was good news
to me.

Hi Pete,
I haven't used Glassfish but am interested in how it compares to Tomcat? Do
you have any comparison insight?
