That was a cool find. The smartphone program appears to filter out the blank space on the physical white board, capture images of the yellow post-it notes using the phone's camera, and transfer them onto the computer white board, which is shared by meeting participants. I've seen schools budgeting tens of thousands of dollars for "smart boards".

I've been looking at electronic pens and tablets which appear to work a lot like a mouse, but offer a lot more precision. This appears to be a great input device for electronic white boards.

I could see math teachers expressing equations and other notations using a device like that, and broadcasting what appears on his browser based white board to remote student participants.
