Henrik,

I am not the one to ask for those questions. I am a supporter and host of the project, but I am not involved in the development. I do know that library lists and setting environment variables can be done via the XML document that XMLSERVICE accepts.

How do you handle librarylists, session management and environment variables in stored procedures and direct program calls ?

If you connect directly to the database, you can call the stored
procedures directly. If you use the CGI interface, there is an extra
layer, and RPG CGI program, in between the calling program and the
stored procedure.

Also, the other reason the stored procedure method is faster is
because, if I remember correctly, the CGI program is just calling
the stored procedures anyway. :)

Sorry, that just doesn't make sense to me. What is the difference
between calling stored procedures from a CGI Job vs. a QZDASOINIT Job?
