I couldn't get node.js to compile and I am not enough of a C/C++ geek to 
sort out the compiler options. Haven't looked at Nashorn but if it is 
part of Java 8 we'd probably have to see what IBM does with the JVM on i.

It is quite remarkable how Javascript has come back front and center of 
web development after being written off in it's early life.  The 
security enhancements that browsers have implemented have made JS a 
solid tool in developing web apps.
