Michael:

The CRTRPGSQLI command has an optional COMPILEOPT parameter for just such purposes. You can include many of the optional parameters from the CRTRPGMOD or CRTBNDRPG command, within this parameter. Note that you must include the "keyword(value)" for each keyword you want to specify.

Hope that helps,

Since Mark brought up the subject of different compilers, is it possible to get PCML attached to a SQLRPGLE module? Didn't see anything in the CRTSQLRPGI compiler options.

I think you are confusing "parameters in which you happen to return a
value" with "Return Values" Mark.

A return value is the result of running a function (i.e. subprocedure
in RPG) - programs can't return values, only functions.

IWS cannot use any subprocedure that returns a value other than an
integer. As I noted before it is a limitation in the underlying
toolbox, which can be circumvented by using RPG's new RTNPARM option.

I use IWS to create web services that return info, and I don't have
any issues with return values. I use CRTBNDRPG, though, so I'm not
sure if CRTRPGMOD handles something different in regards to creating
the *PCML. I am also on V5R4, so I suppose that could have something
to do with it.
