Zurb's product doesn't require any of those tools. I, up to this point,
haven't learned enough to even attempt to incorporate those tools into my
workload. What Zurb is letting you know that for those that use those tools
they've incorporated it as other frameworks have done to where if you are
familiar with the tools you'll be able to utilize their product. I setup a
custom build with my choices of colors and such and downloaded the files,
they provide everything both compressed and not. By inserting a few lines
in my code templates the css and javascript/jquery options are easily
accessed.

Could you explain the rationale for Foundation needing version control
(Git), NodeJS, Ruby, along with a collection of developer tools? (CLI,
grunt, bower, etc.)
