Hi Henrik,
It all depends on where you want to go ... Apps or traditional .NET etc.
My question about positioning our IBM i servers is a higher-level question than what specific technologies we use. The IBM i has a several good options for web and mobile development (Java, PHP, JavaScript, IWS, Apache web server, Zend web server, Node, and probably someone else's favorite technology that I'm omitting). Our shop is currently using *none* of these technologies. My question is whether or not this is a sensible use of our IBM i servers in a world of web and mobile development. And, if we *aren't* going to use any of these technologies, should our IBM i developers change what they're doing (e.g., become more data-centric developers)?
Thanks,
Kelly Cookson
