Initiated by a question in the EASY400 group I used a couple of hours to
construct an example on how to extract data from a HTML table into a
XML object for use in AJAX calls.

It consists of two generic javascript functions that transforms a table
body
to an XML document and a simple javascript function that eliminates the
XML data that doesn't have to be send to the server.

It walks through a table body and creates an XML document based on the
exsistance of an 'xmlelement' attribute in the td's. The td's can either be
displayable, hidden or input.

Afterwards it is possible to process the constructed XML document and
eliminate the rows that hasn't to be send to the server.

I use it myself to extract multiple selected rows without having to
construct
a big form with a lot of multiple occurencies.

I hereby share the code that are quite simple to use ...
