The XMLSERVICE documentation at YIPs tends to be terse and arcane. It
become more understandable after you've read all of it a couple times. You
have to become accustomed to Tony Cairnes writing style. I found the
following page helpful in regards to "ipc":
http://yips.idevcloud.com/wiki/index.php/XMLService/XMLSERVICEConnect
The "ipc" parameter enables developers to better manage the environment
within which XMLSERVICE runs, whether it runs "state-full" or "stateless"
or within a pool of XMLSERVICE JOBS.
