It certainly isn't the "language of the moment" but it is strong in the marketplace and runs very nicely on IBM i, thank you very much! (since that is where I spend most of my time- in Java on IBM i) I was surprised to see this though: http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html

I wouldn't have expected Java to be number 1......
