This is a followup on this issue that was raised in December of last
year. For the benefit of the list, I am reporting back that we have now
solved this issue with self-issued certificates throwing security warnings
to IE browser users.

Rather than re-type everything, I just reference you to a product support
page that we posted at our website today for the affected software
product:

As you can see, the Common Name in the digital certificate has some
requirements and then there is a step-by-step set of instructions for
updating the certificate in IE. We tested this successfully with IE 6, IE
8 and IE 10.

Internet Options allow the import of IBM's certificates. You can confirm
that the certificate is listed in the "trusted" store. But the warning page
never goes away.
