I do not need RPG or DB2 to email... PHP can email just fine.


For me the question is not which language environment has the easiest or
best interface for email. It's more a matter of what "triggers" it. If it's
a consequence of adding a new "customer", then it belongs "in the
database". Don't put logic which "belongs in the database" in the
"application", nor in the "middleware".
