Hello
I ran into this problem previously on Windows installs, and now I can see the same problem on the IBMi.
To cut a long story short, in some cases when you install an npm package it will need to rebuild it. "npm install hiredis" is a good example. There was/is a big furore about it in the Windows community but there is at least a workaround documented here
https://github.com/nodejs/node-gyp/issues/629#issuecomment-153196245 which involves installing a C++ compiler and making some config changes to npm.
So, not surprisingly, the same issue exists on the IBMi. Has anyone solved it or managed to work around it? I imagine the solution will be similar.
Thanks
Kevin
