Bryan,

While VIPA will keep the i connected to the LAN if an Ethernet card goes
out...(& I do recommend it)

It won't do anything for external users when a WAN link goes down; which is
the issue the Jim had.

This is in case primary route not working.

How does one do this in a "simple network".

Co-lo not an option. Not a problem to have 2 providers.

One web site www.xyz.com <http://www.xyz.com>

DNS is external to local network.

System does have 2 ethernet ports. V7R1

This could be a manual turn off/on equipment or ??

They just had a 24 hr outage from existing provider.
