We also generate much of the JS on the fly and we are able to use CHROME
tools so you must be doing something wrong. As noted, browsers work with
the JS that is downloaded in the HTML or in external files. I would google
chrome tools and go thru the tutorial videos to ensure you are debugging
correctly.
