Is the certificate in a valid pfx or p12 format? At least with Godaddy
they didn't give me a certificate back that way (or our tech dept just
didn't give me the right one). I had to take the private key and the
cert they gave me and combine them before I could import into the DCM.

DCMissue

i was able to install all the CA as suggested. When i try to install
the
client/server cert it tell me this is not a valid cert. I can though
install it as a
CA. Im just wondering if the cert was set up incorrectly from network
solutions.

Tim,

I just renewed our wild card certs, given to us from a 3rd party.
Reviewing my notes.
Import the root CA .cer first. (it may already exist) Import the
intermediate CA.cer second (It may already exist) Import the server
.pfx (this will be new). Password needed, assign it a label.

Thanks
Paul

I didnt do the network solutions part, but i believe it was just
renewed.

I did try both ways from DCM "Create a new key pair for this
certificate."
and "Import the renewed signed certificate from an existing file.".

Both did not work.

Tim,

What steps did you take before this? Did you get the original cert
from the same place? If so, did you just use their "renew" option?

If so, then I would contact IBM for more assistance. According to
their documentation it should work.

That is one reason I've always just got a new cert using a CSR. At
least I know that will work. :)

I then clicked on view certificate from dcm and from my windows pc
clicked on the .crt file to view the certificate details. They
look
the same. Of source im not comparing apples to apples since the
screen are from two different systems.

Any ideas?
