I've got a question about best practices ...
If I've got a PHP function that would generate HTML, is it better to have the function emit the HTML using echo statements, or just include the HTML inline.
For instance ... would it be better to do this:
<?php
if (somevar == someval) {
echo "<b>some text that indicates that somevar is equal to someval</b>";
} else {
echo "<b>some text that indicates that somevar is not equal to someval</b>";
}
?>
or
<?php
if (somevar == someval) {
?>
<b>some text that indicates that somevar is equal to someval</b>
<?php
} else {
?>
<b>some text that indicates that somevar is not equal to someval</b>
<?php
}
?>
Thanks!
