You are right about angular being transpiled from Typescript and bundled
but that is done automatically or by using Angular CLI and yes it is a quite
other paradigm than jQuery's plain html/javascript coding - but that is
where
the world is going outside IBM i and that is what makes app's UX competitive
in terms of functionallity, design and device awareness.

the problem I see with using angular and react is you also have to learn
babel and web pack. Where the code that runs in the browser is not the
code you write in the editor. Code is transpiled from react JS or
typescript into javascript. And then bundled into a single JS file. An
alternative is vue.js which lets you code in standard javascript and still
gives you the data binding of angular.

( I should say, I am not sure what I said about angular and react is true.

Subject: [WEB400] JavaScript, jQuery and CSS book recommendations
To: web400@xxxxxxxxxxxx

We have been using PHP on i for a while now with a relatively small
application. Just about to embark on what may turn out to be the start of
quite a large project and want to try and put good building blocks in
place. Looking for recommendations on suitable reference material. Any
suggestions?? Sent from my iPhone -- This is the Web Enabling the IBM i
