ASNA is essentially doing .Net and incidentally can probably be mixed with C# and VB as well.

So you plan to download large files from IBMi or your Windows Server hosting the ASP.Net applications ?

Feeding small or large files back through the browser should work fine depending on how many simultaneous large downloads might be occurring.

Without knowing more it's hard to say, but definitely doable.

Have you reached out to Asna support or Roger Pence to talk to them ?

subject: [WEB400] Real time download via the web using the i

We are starting a project to let anonymous internet users download files through a web application.
Our web product is ASNA WINGS. It uses Open Access RPG.
ASNA WINGS allows you to import your DDS to an ASPX then use special ANSA ASP.NET controls to run things like subfiles and such.

The size of the files will be fairly large, but not sure how large since we are still at the discussion stage with this.

My question is, has anyone had any success doing real time downloads via the web with large files?
We do have web software with ASNA WINGS that takes files from the user's PC to the I, but the files are small.
I am told it uses java script to make this happen.
I need to find the code and possibly use the java script, but thought I would see if anyone has any other suggestions.
We also have users that will get a sign on to an FTP site and copy the file from there, but are leaning towards an anonymous real time download.

My understanding is I can reference a class in my code behind of ASNA WINGS.
The language we use in the code behind is a language that ASNA developed called AVR. It is .NET for RPG.

Thanks.
