I am curious as to why you use the words "instead of"? All IWS does is
provide a tool for old-time RPG programmers to be able to use/consume
xml/json without having to learn a totally new environment. IWS is not
going to build a web page. If an RPG shop suddenly has to swivel and
accept or provide .xml/.json data, IWS is a really useful tool for them.
I guess my point is that if a long-established RPG shop with
zippity-do-da in-house knowledge of the xml/json world needs to come up
to speed fast, the IWS wizard is a really good way to go.
People who are already proficient in PHP, node, Python probably also
bake their cakes from scratch, but me? I'll use a prepackaged mix and
have an edible cake right from the first day.
