I'd first change the config to an IP, not *. But that's up to you. Do you
really want your HTTP server listening on EVERY interface?

As for subomains, the apache server handles it fine if you're sending them
all to the same IP. Use the ServerName Directive...

<VirtualHost 192.168.201.35:443>
ServerName www.bvstools.com
.......
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 192.168.201.35:443>
ServerName subdomain1.bvstools.com
.......
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 192.168.201.35:443>
ServerName subdomain2.bvstools.com
.......
</VirtualHost>

If the current domain is xyz.com is hosted on an IBM I .

Company now wants to host the static portion externally (on Amazon AWS) as

And add a registrar entry for www.abc.xyz.com <http://www.abc.xyz.com> to
point to address of our firewall

Will I have a problem when in www.abc.xyz.com <http://www.abc.xyz.com>
(on
IBM i) and trying to redirect to a page on www.abc.com <http://www.abc.com

which is hosted elsewhere?

Current config has Listen *:80
