WebService and microservices are two different things.

When i comes to Microservices on IBM i we are using the following depending
of the customers skills and needs:

- Flask if Python ( soon replaced with fastAPI when we get it to work
on IBM i ( thanx to Jesse)
- Seneca if node.js ( Thanx to Tim Rowe)
- Spring-boot if java
- ILEastic if RPG

All of the above follows the self-contained http serving paradigme for
partial/incrementing deployment that the DevOps loop.

IWS on the other hand is an application server, that does it work perfect
if it just a matter of getting REST-full services up and running - you can
now simply trow and SQL statement after it and it will serve it - easy as
that.

When i come to our microservices stack - they are all based on open source.
where (as Tim so perfectly described is delivered and 100% supported by
IBM)

So in the end: Is it WebServices or microservices?. Are you looking into
DevOps? And what kind of support will you are after?

And you had better use them from one end to the other, preferably two at

In all honesty, I do have a touch. I blame my mom's side. OCD too.
When
I open an egg carton those things better be as symmetrical as possible.
