I think perhaps you are using the wrong words. "Parse" and "Consume" normally mean the same in this context.

Regardless YAJL can be used to create/generate JSON _and_ to Parse/Consume JSON.

To create JSON with YAJL there are two options. Use the raw YAJL APIs or use DATA-GEN with the YAJLGEN generator.

To parse JSON with YAJL again two options. Use the raw APIs or use DATA-INTO with the YAJLINTO parser.


If you are talking about serving up JSON from a web service then that is a different story.


As others have said you can also use SQL to both generate and consume JSON but how easily depends on the JSON requirements.
