Thank you for pointing out where the log file is.

It turns out that the names in the dcl-ds were lower case when I entered
the RPG source. DATA-GEN with the YAJLDTAGEN processor maintained the case
of the variable name when it generated the Json package. The IWS server on
the back end was failing in the Java portions because the variable name was
not UPPERCASE. When I changed it, everything worked.

SoapUI had the variable names in upper case and I never thought to see the
difference.

Looks like you already did. If you don't pass a file to http_debug, it puts
the log file in /tmp. Check that file. Most 500 errors usually also return
something in the body that indicates what went wrong. Also - look at the raw
output in soapui as well as the headers. Compare them to what you can see in
the RPG program.
