I think his point was that he found dups and deleted them.

Dennis.

You said that the dups were hard deleted. That would imply that they did not
exist at all. Did you mean that they were soft deleted (i.e. Zd out)?  If so,
the program might be using a logical that looks at all records (active and
soft deleted) which would still account for a duplicate record.
