If your never ending program waits on a file or data queue read, you can
just put logic in to refresh the Logical Date at the top of your
processing loop. If the program does it's processing without waiting on
any outside input, you could put in logic to check the system date and
refresh your "Logical Date" near the top of the processing loop.

   subject: [COBOL400-L] Never Ending program
   Hi,
I have a never ending online program (Five sessions) and every night the
program is ending (Down) to refresh the data (Logical Date) then Up the
   program and work all day.

My problem is to avoid "Down/Up" but I want to refresh the data.
Does anyone know, What can I do to avoid it?
   Thanks for any help, Regards,
