Why can't they? Is it because their ID file is not on the PC? If so then they
must already
have a copy of their ID file on their primary PC.
You have few options.
1) Give them an ID file they can lug around on diskette.
2) Show them how to map a NT share to an IFS directory holding a copy of
their ID file.
3) Convert all these PC's into Citrix clients and use a Citrix Server. We've
done that with a
few people and they've been really happy. Reading mail from home is much
faster this way.

Frankly most users get confused with the portable ID file. Not only do you
have to do a File,
Tools, Switch ID but you also have to edit your location to point to the right
mail file.

Subject: Multiple Users, Single Desktop

Hello All,

Here's the situation:

There are about 200 users, 100 of which need to get their e-mail from
their current location, which can be at any of 150 PCs. Does anyone
have a good solution that allows the user to sign-on and get his notes
mail, just like they use to with cc:Mail? By the way, all ID files, and
stored messages need to be kept on the AS/400 and not on the local PC.
