Hi Evan...

I had the same requirement a couple of years ago when we set up our Domino
installation. I found a Domino support site (notes.net) which provided the
solution (and it works! each will listen only on their own IP address and
each can use port 80). The applicable portion of the answer to my question
on notes.net was:

2) Bind each Domino HTTP task to a specific IP address. (This is probably
what you want to do.)

Edit the Server document for each server instance. Go to the HTTP Server
section and enter the hostname for each specific server instance. You must
use a name, not a hardcoded address and the name MUST be listed as an entry
on the AS/400's host table (or in the DNS, but I have not tried that. It
would be a simple test. If the DNS entry alone doesn't work, then add a host
table entry.). Next, change the "Bind to Host Name" field to "Enabled". Then
Stop and restart ALL the servers. Make sure to restart the WHOLE server, and
not just the HTTP task. This is required for this particular configuration
change.

(Note it is possible to affect this change without restarting the whole
server, but it's kind of complicated.)

Notes.net is another good source for Domino on AS/400 information. The link

Hi team

I have had two domino servers configured on a development box I manage. I
am not doing the domino work as such, mainly providing tech support and
comms/configuration assistance. The idea is that these servers will provide
access to separate test and dev environments.

The individuals doing the domino work have struck a snag where they cannot
open port 80 for http traffic on both Domino Servers.

Each of the servers has it's own IP address and is running in its own
subsystem.

What configuration work do they need to perform to make this work presuming
it can be done ?

Any and all comments welcome.

Regards
Evan Harris
