The simple solution is to define the failover system in your MX record for
your domain at a higher cost than your primary system. This will route all
SMTP mail to the primary system when it is available but would redirect the
mail to the failover system when the primary goes down.

Subject: smtp clustering

We are purchasing another i series. The biggest bumble bee made. We will
be using it to run clustering. We have several domino partitions on
another 400 we will cluster over to this one. One of these partitions is
one called INTERNOTES. On this partition we are using Domino native SMTP.
We want to cluster that on to the new 400 also. I've done clustering
before. The trick I see here is getting the SMTP to route to the other 400
when the primary goes down.

Any suggested links to read up on? Any suggestions or concerns?

And when I get this project done, we'll buy another i series to use
Internet Clustering on for our web site.
