Nathan,
I think you answered your own question. You stated that LDAP requests
work fine from the local subnet. Assuming you are using Outlook Express I
would suggest looking at your network. Are other client/server
communications affected when accessed from a remote subnet?

Hi,
This may be nothing to do with Outlook Express and it may be just our slow
communications link but anyway.
I have setup our LDAP server on our 4.6 Domino server to have a wait time
of
0 (no timeout).
Is anyone using LDAP on their Domino Server with Outlook Express. When I
type in a name it says can't find the person.
I have changed the timeout to 1 minute but still nothing, occasionally I
get
a response. I mean 1 out of 20 tries.
It works fine on the local subnet but we need it to work everywhere.
Does anyone know of a way to make the search wait forever in Outlook
Express?
TIA
Nathan Simpson
