Re: IFS File authorities and Domino

The sub-directory takes on the authority of the parent directory.   The one
gottcha.....if you change the authority on the parent, the sub-directories and
files do not automatically pick up the change, you must change them yourself.
If you were set up incorrectly and then made a change, you should do an audit on
the files and directories.  This is for Notes as well as IFS authority.

The directory I am writing to currently has PUBLIC *ALL (I understand the
implications of this but we need to understand the Domino aspects to get it
right) therefore I woudl have though DOmino would have all the necessary
authority to the files.

How does the authority on the file get set from the directory ? Is there a
relationship between this ?
