I received this following email from Trend Micro. I am forwarding this on
to y'all in case any of you here might have missed this message. (Perhaps
your manager is on the email list instead of the Domino support person and
the word didn't get out.)

When the Domino server starts, the tasks specified on the notes.ini
ServerTasks statement are started in the order that they appear on that
line. When ScanMail is installed, the ScanMail tasks, TMMScan and
RepScan,
are inserted at the end of the ServerTasks statement as shown in the
example below. It is important to note the position of the Router on the
line in the example because, when the router starts it will begin sending
and receiving mail even though MailScan has not yet started. Also,
replications could occur without RepScan running. This presents a window
when a virus can enter your system undetected.

 ServerTasks=Router,Replica,....,HTTP,IMAP,POP3,LDAP,DECS,tmmscan,repscan

To close this windows and ensure scanning at all times, TMMScan and
RepScan
should be the first tasks specified on the statement so they can be
running
before the router begins to process the mail and before the user can
replicate databases as this example shows.

 ServerTasks=tmmscan,repscan,Router,Replica,....,HTTP,IMAP,POP3,LDAP,DECS
