I've been using the blacklist feature as illustrated below (as you can see,
we do not deal with the volumes you have, but it is none the less
annoying). This is great, but I still get so many porn emails for one of
our users who inadvertently clicked in the wrong place once or twice, and I
currently have about 100 domains in my deny field and I am pretty sick of
opening the emails to see the address to block. Do you have any ideas?
When I used spamhaus there were almost no emails coming through at all.
Everything was blocked.

 SMTP.DNSBL.bl.spamcop.net.Hits = 75
 SMTP.DNSBL.relays.ordb.org.Hits = 1
 SMTP.DNSBL.TotalHits = 76
 SMTP.MessagesProcessed = 128

What is the sequence for rejection? Is the blacklist site the first
filter, and then any fields in the Restrictions and Controls, and then the
Rules?

And I've also had what are perfectly good emails rejected for policy
reasons, but I can't find out which policy they are being rejected for.

Any input would be appreciated.

Sharon

Re: Blacklist statistics

Just thought I'd let you know how it's going:

SMTP.DNSBL.blackholes.easynet.nl.Hits = 737
SMTP.DNSBL.bl.spamcop.net.Hits = 665
SMTP.DNSBL.relays.ordb.org.Hits = 11
SMTP.DNSBL.sbl.spamhaus.org.Hits = 56
SMTP.DNSBL.TotalHits = 1469
SMTP.MessagesProcessed = 2296

Still seem to be getting my share of Nigerian Scams.
