OK, I get it. What he could do is define a variable in the frameset
(assuming you're not using a Notes frameset) to hold a value that can be
refreshed during the onfocus event of the fields, then move the javascript
refresh code to the refresh html page, which in turn checks the variable in
the frameset to see if it should refresh or not. Just access the variable
from each html page with the parent.variabelname to set/get the value of
it.

Since the javascript reloading the refresh page is executed from the
refresh page, it "should" not change the focus from the current form. No
guaranties though... :-)

I think I know why it's doing it, he isn't using the meta tags to refresh,
he's got a javascript function that does a reload of that page from the
main page - which is The main page is refreshing the hidden page, sending
the focus there.

I think he got stuck on how to make the page refresh itself, with the main
page updating how long to wait, instead of the other way around.

I'll have to find time and revisit this technique soon, and I'll let you
know.

Hi Rick,

As I haven't really used this technique on this kind of form, I can't say
why it's doing this. Could you put a window.blur call in the onload event
of the refresh page? Would it help at all?

What does the final html of the refresh page look like?

/Peter
