Problem is that he has to change his first partition to support
partitioning. Thus wouldn't he be running CHGDOMSVR?

Since you are "creating" a new it should be CFGDOMSVR. Also if you are
dealing with "multiversion" releases you need to specify which Library"
you are going to use for the Release version.

Partitioning problem - same as Steve McKay from Nov 2003?

I am having the same problem as Steve McKay was in November 2003, anyone
(Steve?) know how this was resolved?
http://archive.midrange.com/domino400/200311/msg00065.html

I am trying to add a second partition to our existing iSeries server, but
cannot change the first to be a partitioned server.

Here is the command and the error; and this all I could dig up:
        CHGDOMSVR SERVER(domino1) ADVSRV *PARTITION)
Error encountered changing the current configuration for server
domino1.
        Reason code 11.
        CHGDOMSVR command failed.

Message . . . . : Error encountered changing the current configuration for

server domino1. Reason code 11.
Cause . . . . . : An error was encountered when changing the current
configuration for server domino1. The reason code is 11:
-- 11 : Error renaming the Domino console queues.

(Domino 6.0.3 on V5R1) And yes, Domino and the subsystem are ended.
Thanks,
Tom
