Walter, thanks for all your help so far, but I'm still missing something. Does the file have to exist in advance? I modified the Notes.INI to include "debug_outfile=logfile.txt" (no quotes around the file name in the INI entry, per your example earlier and an Iris article I found). I restarted the server an hour ago, but I don't see any sign of a logfile.txt in the Data directory of the iSeries. Hmm... I'll try again. I tried it with both the drive designation (I was sure it was wrong, but wasn't getting any responses) and without, but I don't see the file. That's why I thought I needed to restart something. When I want to stop writing to that file, do I call the config with a blank for the filename? Like [set config debug_outfile=""]?
