We have a multiple releases installed on the same development LPAR.

6.03
6.51
6.5.2
6.54

Install went quickly without a hitch. I do not use Sametime, Quickplace or
LEI on iSeries so no additional Lotus re-loads were required.

However the update to TrendMicro Scanmail build 1644 failed for us. Seems
their installer has an issue with muti-version support, when signing
templates.

It copied the new templates just fine, but was unable to sign them since
it was using code from 6.03. We signed manually to complete the update.

Funny thing when I called support at TrendMicro, apparently their
developers were not aware that iSeries supported multiple releases.

I directed them to the documentation on-line, and I am awaiting a fix
although we did get it working.

Scheduling a production upgrade for Mid May. The new code is stable so
far, and seems to run "faster".

The fixes in 6.54 are quite extensive, and iNotes runs well on Firefox.

I also will make note of a long awaited Notes Client enhancement.

SPR# TOHA673FH2 - Setting a new Notes.ini variable
"OptimizeImagePasteSize=1" converts all bitmaps and metafiles to GIFs when
pasted into a document.

This is a big space saver if you set it on your Notes 6.5.4 client. I have
been waiting about 7 years for this one. Makes pasted print screen shots
nice and small.

So, what were the steps you did to "reinstall the Sametime software"?

RSTLICPGM...  =)

I always keep the SAVF files for the current release (of Sametime and
Domino) on my server. Otherwise I would have to re-download from Passport
and FTP. Just makes it easy if I ever run into this situation (which I
did...). I just ran the RSTLICPGM and then restarted mail and IM servers.
It was fine after that.

Upgrade one of our Domino Servers to 6.5.4. Also upgraded the LEI to
6.5.4. Funny thing:

Don't recall EVER seeing an option 1 before a *BASE on DSPSFWRSC before.
Should I delete option 1 of the following:
DSPSFWRSC
Resource
   ID Option Feature Description
5733LEI 1 5050 LEI V6R5M0 for Domino V6R0M3
5733LEI 1 2924 LEI V6R5M0 for Domino V6R0M3
5733LEI *BASE 5050 Lotus Enterprise Integrator
5733LEI *BASE 2924 Lotus Enterprise Integrator
5733LEI 9 5050 LEI V6R5M4 for Domino V6R5M4
5733LEI 9 2924 LEI V6R5M4 for Domino V6R5M4

The only version of Domino I have installed on this machine is:
Resource
   ID Option Feature Description
5733L65 *BASE 5050 Lotus Domino 6.5 (5724E70)
5733L65 *BASE 2924 Lotus Domino 6.5 (5724E70)
5733L65 1 5050 Lotus Domino 6.5: C API
5733L65 14 5050 Lotus Domino 6.5: Release 6.5.4
5733L65 14 2924 Lotus Domino 6.5: Release 6.5.4

I wasn't aware that LEI supported multiversioning.
