Be careful when and where you restore databases with replica ID's.  I have 
had instances where the system located the restored database and sync'd 
them, not with good resultes.

Gotcha... restore the DBs to the backup server from the main server's save
(same replica ids), right?  That would be another option, I guess...

When we do a monthly test, we leave the main server down for a day and
generally see things replicate back pretty quickly... I just want make 
sure
this would hold true after a restore from an earlier backup.

I was thinking you could restore what you needed to the backup from the
primary that's saved nightly.

The analysis tools checks for replica existence, consistent ACL, etc...
