If you use the system value QPFRADJ set to 2 or 3 the system will tune this for you. It seems pointing out the simple thing that I was overlooking took even less time than I could of hoped for. Max activity was at 85, which compared to my other machine running fine that was set at 50, I thought was enough. Didn't think about pushing it up just to see if it would help. Lesson learned. Per your advice I pushed it up to 200 and it seems to have fixed my problem. Domino HTTP adds a lot of threads to the active pool. What is the max activity level in qbase? Try pushing it up by 100. Also you don't state if the system is CPU constrained during the poor performance. What are the CPU rates of both http servers ? Goal is to have a Apache HTTP server running on port 80 and a Domino Http server running on port 8001. I have 3 other machines set up this exact way and have not experienced any problems like this. At first I thought this had to do with problems between Apache and Domino HTTP, and that it had to do with either a set-up or runtime problem with Apache, but I ruled that out because this problem occurs even if I don't have any Apache HTTP server running. If I add "HTTP" to the notes.ini file, as soon as the http instance finished loading all TCP traffic is ground to a near halt. Operations navigator is basically unusable. If I had an existing client access session open it runs, but at a very slow pace. If I try to initiate a new session the sign-on takes so long it times out most of the time. If I have an Apache instance running, that website which took milliseconds to load, now will take several minutes to finish loading. All of the normal TCP operations will go through, but at an incredibly slow pace, sometimes timing out. If I kill the Domino HTTP, everything springs back to life. I am installing 6.5.3 FP1 as I type this, however I can't believe this is a problem because I have two other machines on base 6.5.3 without issue. It is a fairly new machine that has no other load on it than being a domino server for a few test users and serving a small test website right now. This box has plenty of power to be running this, in fact much more than my other machines, so I can't see anything like that being a problem. I've compared every setting I can think of to my other machines and have come up with nothing. I don't have the HTTP binding to any host name or IP, I have the IP settings correct to make it open on 8001, and I can find no other settings that has an effect on this. I am hoping there is something you guys can point me to, or any ideas you can ask me to look at, that I might be overlooking. Thank you for any and all help.
