Does it actually make sure that the server is behaving before routing
traffic to it? For example if I
- ENDDOMSVR will it still route traffic to it?
- TELL HTTP QUIT will it still route http traffic to it?
- TELL ROUTER QUIT, TELL SMTP QUIT, will it still route that traffic?
- if it is a sametime server, and http is running but no ST* jobs are
running (which happens to us on occasion) will it still route sametime
clients to it?

If it handles all that, sounds great.

IBM had a somewhat inexpensive solution. However now they require this
WAS thing that has a lot of requirements that made my boss choke. Then
again we're a small shop and only have a 270 (lpared), 270DSD, 520
(lpared), a 570 (lpared), 4 racks of servers, 3 racks of data comm and
switches and a separate room for telephone stuff with a Cisco rep pretty
much on site all the time. (Just to show you it takes a lot to make the
boss choke.)
