Fix pack 3 for Lotus Domino 6.5.4 is available






Fix Pack 3 for IBM Lotus Domino 6.5.4 is now available for download. All 
fixes in this Fix Pack have already been successfully deployed at customer 
sites.

You are receiving this notification because you are one of the Lotus Notes 
& Domino customers, who have called us for technical support in the past 
12 months. If you do not wish to receive notifications like this one from

- If you have already upgraded to IBM Lotus Domino version 6.5.5 or 7, 
please either disregard this mail, or read it only as information about 
fix packs in general.
- If you are using IBM Lotus Domino version 6.5.4, please read this note 
in detail and consider applying fix pack 3 on your Domino servers as soon 
as possible.
- If you are using a prior version of IBM Lotus Domino (6.5.3 or earlier), 
please read this note and consider upgrading to 6.5.4 FP3, 6.5.5 or 7.0.1, 
when it can fit into your plans.

Advantages of fix packs
By providing a small number of fixes, customers are able to accept fewer 
code changes with lower risk, allowing you to "patch" an older Maintenance 
Release until a more extensive upgrade to the current Maintenance Release 
is possible. Fix Packs can be downloaded from the Web, but will not be 
distributed on CD. While Fix Packs provide important fixes, and IBM 
strongly recommends applying the latest Fix Pack available for a 
Maintenance Release, IBM still recommends that customers upgrade to the 
latest Maintenance Release plus Fix Pack combination, to receive the 
broadest set of fixes available. You will receive more overall fixes with 
a later Maintenance Release plus Fix Pack than with a set of Fix Packs on 
top of an earlier Maintenance Release.

The new fix pack strategy for Lotus Domino is being adopted rapidly by 
thousands of our customers with great results. Download rates show that 
fix pack 2 was applied significantly faster than fix pack 1. The new fix 
pack 3 will push the adoption rates even further. The reliability of these 
fix packs provides great value.
