Jose, You need to post the details of your NSD crash file here if you want any help from us. This is the same file IBM looks at when there is a crash as you describe. The Domino log.nsf file is not enough. The crash file or NSD file is generated in the Domino data directory on the IFS and should have a name like this ---> nsd_04_02_06@03_58 > FTP that file off of your iSeries and convert it to text. You can paste the results here. Simply search for "Fatal" and copy paste any of that to this forum. It will identify the job and process module that is cauing the crash. If we can help I am sure someone here on this forum will reply. Regards and good luck. I've actually got a working button and the only thing I need to do is use the 'getevironmentstring' to return the actual location of the file. We have some users where the install went into C:\lotus\notes\data and then others that went into C:\program files\lotus\notes\data. Other than that, this peice of code is going to be a big help for globally getting backups of ID files on a regular basis. However, if you wanted to run Instant Messaging on its own server (single partition) you would be licensed to the Domino server as long as it was only used to serve instant messaging. ==================================== Tom Kreimer Information Alternatives Hi Tom, I thought I read that you should put Sametime on its own Domino partition. Every user on this server are web mail users. We have no full clients accessing this server. Now that we have moved to the new platform, the server will not go longer then 3 hours and sometimes only 15 minutes, without ending abnormally. The server will restart right away but this is a big problem. As I go through the log, the only errors that I notice are seemingly random messages that say "The server is not responding. The server may be down or you may be experiencing network problems. Contact your system administrator". I say seemingly random because I have tied the appearnace of this message on the console to attempts at scheduleing a meeting or resource in the RnR database. The user gets the same error message on their screen. I am unsure as to if this is a contributing factor in the server crashes but it is the only error message in the logs that I cant fix. The server crashes on the same HTTP task with the same MEMLOCK error everytime. Anyone have any clues? I had a client-side issue that the list was tired of hearing about after three months of time with tech support, so I know where you are coming from. Regarding the hosts table, assuming you have access to a profile with sufficient access (I'm not guru enough to tell you what access is actually necessary, but I use the QSECOFR profile to get the job done), type CFGTCP on the command line and go to option 10. On our server, I have the full hostname (mail.myserver.com) as well as the Domino server name (DominoServer/DominoDomain) listed. The Domino server name being removed is what caused the problems I alluded to earlier.
