Following up on this from June 1, 2006 on this list, I just received the
following from IBM:

Marketing Field Requirement -- MR0615065559

User Group Number - MR0615065559
Document Status - Recognized
Title - Port DUCS (Domino Unity Connection Services) to i5

IBM agrees with the request and a solution appears to be a desirable
objective. A solution however may not presently appear feasible or
implementable. No IBM commitment is made or implied as to the eventual
delivery of an acceptable solution.

we understand the requirement and it has been under consideration for the
last year (along with other options, etc). We don't currently have any
plans for System i (iSeries), but we'll continue to consider it.

Done! By the way, it's good to see the change request database on
Domino... :)

We have DUCS (Domino Unity Connection Services) running on a Windows
Domino server for this. Have a small group of test people running
their

email on this server to test this. Theory is that they should not
have
their mail replicated to any other server. I forget why. I am not
one

of

the test people as I won't put all my eggs in the window basket. Been

talking to the highest levels of IBM System i management to get this
on

the i. Not getting anywhere fast. Submit a DCR.
