You need to use SBMDOMCMD not RUNDOMCMD Here is the syntax.

SBMDOMCMD CMD('tell event deldupmessages') SERVER(test)


SBMDOMCMD is used to submit console commands you can run any console
command you like just substitute the name of your domino server and the
command you want to run.
(Server must be running)

Note: SBMDOMCMD does NOT check that the server is running, If it is not
running no error is returned by your command is not performed.

RUNDOMCMD is used to run a Domino task such as Fixup or Compact, and does
not require the server to be running.
