I've got a server down now with compact running against it via
RUNDOMCMD SERVER(internotes02)
CMD(CALL PGM(COMPACT) PARM('-C -daos on -ZU -n -v' ))
BATCH(*YES)
ALWMLTTHD(*YES)
There are no DAOS messages in the console.
Ran it again - still no messages regarding DAOS on the console.
Started server, dropped server, ran it again. Still no messages regarding
DAOS on the console and no data in the DAOS directory.
Started server. Ran
load compact -c -daos on -ZU -n -v
Now I am seeing numerous "Informational, DAOS has been enabled for
database..." messages. And, entries in
.../Data/DAOS

Sure looks like a server down compact won't do it. Don't suppose it's a
-C versus a -c thing, eh?
