WRKLNK '/NOTES03/NOTES/DATA/DAOS/*'
shows 3 subdirectories: 0001, 0002, 0003
Drilling down into 0001 with an option 5 shows:
CPDA092 - Cannot display all of the objects requested.
which, I know IBM is using UIM or I'd call it the old subfile limitation
of 9,999 rows. Perhaps UIM has some related limitation.

crtpf rob/stmfcount rcdlen(200)
qsh
cd /notes03/notes/data/daos/0001
ls *.* >/qsys.lib/rob.lib/stmfcount.file/stmfcount.mbr
qsh: 001-0078 Process ended by signal 5.

So, let's try a stream file instead of db2
ls *.* >/rob/stmfcount.txt
qsh: 001-0078 Process ended by signal 5.
$

So, how does one count this up quickly?
iNav reported 3 directories and 83k+ files in that 0001 directory.

Maybe I'd better give them a call...
