WAS should show up as installed on any of the systems that have ST
components. But I would probably leave it if you don't know why it was
installed. Unless you can confirm nothing is running under SBS QWAS7 (I
believe)...

Then there really is a possibility that Sametime put that there?

Because I also have it on other machines that never had Sametime and I was
wondering if I was just being stupid at one time and installing it whilly
nilly. Since it's not supported on 7.2 I was wondering if I need to
upgrade it, delete it, or leave it until we get rid of Sametime 8.5.2 (if
it's installed).
I have meeting server installed on one lpar and on it
http://mail1:2001/HTTPAdmin
Manage All Servers
All Application Servers
doesn't show anything.
On another lpar I show
WAS70SVR/WAS70SVR
I know what some of the entries undernath "Managed Installed Applications"
are. Are there supposed to be some entries that scream "Sametime!"?

Rob,

Sametime will install what you need automagically if you are using any of
the components that are WAS-based (Sametime 9.x System Console, Meeting,
Proxy, and Gateway servers).

I am just looking at the Sametime for IBM i system requirements at
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21092193
Is some version of WAS required? If not, does Sametime just automatically

install some version of WAS?
IOW, if I run DSPSFWRSC and notice
Resource
ID Option Feature Description
5733W70 *BASE 5050 WebSphere Application Server V7 for i5/OS
5733W70 1 5101 WebSphere Application Server V7 Express
then that was put on there by me, intentionally, possibly for some
webservice site that never came to fruition? It's not needed by Sametime,

right?
