Well sometimes you don't want things to be like they are, but you don't have time to change them, And I don't know why you say that there is no cycle in VARPG. Ain't this language as all other languages processed in sequenced order? ain't that a cycle? And if you meant the RPG cycle, why there wouldn't be a reading cycle in VARPG? If so, why is it still RPG? doesn't it mean Report Program Generator? Please explain it to me 'cos it's an important detail you're discussing there. thanks -----Message d'origine----- De : Jon.Paris@hal.it [mailto:Jon.Paris@hal.it] Envoyé : dimanche 25 juin 2000 17:45 À : JAVA400-L@midrange.com Objet : Re: Converting programs >> It is ugly, the screens are crowded, and it is still cycle-driven, not event-driven. Booth - you've got me real confused with this statement. First - there is no cycle in VARPG. You can _only_ write event-driven code. Second - as to the screens being crowded, the imported screen are fully editable so if they are crowded it's 'cos you choose to have them that way. +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +--- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
