We're coding an app that communicates with the server on AS/400 via MQ. Most of the server side logic (mostly SQL with a few RPG here and there) is done in Java. We build a connector with MQ but it is painfully slow to start (I'm talking in the realm of 5 to 10 secs) and such response times cannot be toterated. However, most of the slow part is actually loading the JVM. Is there a way to optimize this or make it faster?
