Next month I'll start a new case which possibly will involve POI HSSF 
again with more data than my prior case.

Thanks for the link Bryan!! Using it I was able to finally get the
Qshell command to work and it cut the processing time from 30 minutes to
15 minutes. I think that this is the best I am going to be able to get.
